The Ulster Squash Performance Programme is designed to provide additional support for a limited

number of players who are competing or training to compete in competitions at international level

and who have demonstrated ability, commitment and potential to achieve success. Players already

funded separately through higher level Sport NI support programmes (such as the AIP Athlete

Investment Programme) will normally be excluded from additional funding from the Ulster Squash

These will normally include international competitions such as:

– Irish representation (senior / junior) , e.g. World Team, European Team, Junior 5 Nations

– Northern Ireland representation at Commonwealth Games

– Professional events such PSA, WISPA outside Ireland

– European Squash Federation Junior competitions outside Ireland

– PSA/WISPA ranking improvement; ESF ranking improvement (juniors)

Assessment Criteria

Assessment criteria will include amongst others:

– Results at Irish / International competitions (particularly last 12 months);

– Participation in Ulster and Irish Squash training programmes and representative teams

– Goals of the player (realistic)

– Planning: coaching plan, competition plan, fitness plan, etc.;

The Performance Director and AIP/PSP Programme Manager will assess the applications together with

other Ulster Squash representatives as required. They will make best efforts to award support that

will benefit most effectively the players, Ulster Squash and Irish Squash. It should however be noted

that overall funding is subject to corresponding Sport NI funding and that limited monies are

i) The completed application form must be returned to Ulster Squash so as to arrive not later

than 12 noon Monday 29th June 2015. Email applications will be accepted.
