Ulster had the privilege of being represented by 2 young women in the Ireland team at the Women’s World Junior Championships in 2019: Emma McGugan and Emma Lundy.

This year, the championships were hosted by Malaysia Squash and the event consisted of the individual and team tournaments in Kuala Lumpur, at the impressive facilities of the Nicol David Centre.  With 30 countries being represented and almost 200 entries (men and women), the world’s best juniors were on show and battling it out for the titles on offer.

The girls did their country and province proud with tough draws in the individual tournament and a very credible 14th place finish in the team championship.

Team coach, David Noone’s round up of the event can be found on the Irish Squash website here for those who would like the full details.

Well done girls! An excellent way to end the 2018/19 season and motivate you for the new season to come.
